Item 5: My Clever Hat

No, it’s not a nickname. The item is actually called Clever Hat. It’s a low-level leather hat that drops off a boss in Dire Maul. It has a pretty low drop rate, so when it finally dropped for me - and I was level 70 (top level at the time) - I was so happy. I thought that when Transmogrification came out, I could finally wear my Clever Hat all the time, but the fact that it’s leather and I wear mail armour makes it impossible. ): It always has a place in my bags, though!

Item 4: Spirit Beasts

They were introduced as a tameable family in Wrath of the Lich King and back then, they did a fantastic death-from-above magical attack. Now, they can cast a heal either on you or on a member of your group if you tell them to. But every spirit beast is a rare spawn. That makes them some of the most sought-after pets in the game. These are two of my four. Loque’nahak and Skoll. Aren’t they neat?

Item 3: Fishing

I’m the strangest person in the world for liking fishing in a video game, I guess, but there’s actually something fun about it - and it’s a nice way to chat with people while still being in game. I had my blood elf hunter to top fishing before I had him levelled to top level, and it’s amazing how much money you can make selling fish.

Item 2: The Draenei

I’m a bit irked with Blizzard not giving them more backstory, but what they do have, I love. A race on the run from the demonic Legion, following the word of their Prophet - small in number compared to the ones who followed Sargeras fell. The fallen were called Eredar, but the word ‘Draenei’ means ‘Exiled.’ Ever and always fated to run from their destruction and yet, through it all, faithful to the Light. That kind of faith is so seldom displayed, and yet, here is an entire race with unswerving devotion.

Please, Blizzard, stop ignoring them!

Item 1: The sky in Hellfire Peninsula

The first place people end up after levelling through Azeroth, Hellfire Peninsula is actually not all that pretty of a place. The ground is orange and scarred and desolate. The area is full of demons, even with infernals falling from the sky.

And yet, if you look up, the view is spectacular. I spent many an hour just staring at the Hellfire Peninsula sky. So much detail — and so utterly beautiful. Such a contrast to the ground underneath it.

Spring storms... how I hate spring storms...

I am utterly terrified.

Tomorrow's chance of a tornado in my area is now 70%.

I'm packing up what matters, I know where the cat leashes are, I am physically prepared. I am not mentally or emotionally prepared. Right now, I want to sit and cry and possibly pass out. It's like this year wants me to lose it.

Edit: Okay, there were tornadoes. It upgraded from 70% to 90% - but the tornadoes went north and south of us. We are fine.
